His contribution to the company is immeasurable but beyond his impeccable professional work, José Manuel was very much loved in the sector. His teams in Spain, Portugal and Latin America will remember him for his commitment to his work, dedication to the people around him and permanent support”. José Manuel Herrero (Barcelona, 1972) held a Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oviedo and a Diploma in the Prevention of Industrial Accidents. With more than 15 years’ experience in cause investigation of claims and accidents, he held several executive positions with Hidroeléctrica Del Cantábrico, Unión Fenosa Ingeniería and Arcelor Mittal.
From 2011, José Manuel served as the General Director of Investigación de Siniestros (IST), a benchmark company in the cause analyses and studies of claims and breakdowns, where, apart from overseeing day-to-day operations, he contributed significantly to the firm’s expansion into Portugal, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia and Chile.
José Manuel combined his work with teaching different Master’s Degrees and gave his own talks and workshops within the insurance sector.
