Reporting channels

IST promotes a safe, ethical, egalitarian and trusting environment. To this end, it has implemented two Whistleblowing Channels that allow for the reporting of misconduct or ethical violations, in accordance with Law 2/2023 on the protection of whistleblowers and the fight against corruption.

What can be reported?

• Non-compliance with legal regulations, Code of Ethics or internal regulations.
• There are two channels:
  1. Ethical Channel:
     1. Any action or omission that may constitute breaches of European Union law, such as:
        • Public procurement.
        • Financial services, products and markets and prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing.
        • Protection of privacy and personal data, and security of networks and information systems.
        • Infringements affecting the financial interests of the European Union, as referred to in Article 325 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU).
        • Infringements affecting the internal market, as referred to in Article 26(2) TFEU, including infringements of the European Union’s rules on competition and aid granted by States, as well as infringements relating to the internal market in relation to acts infringing corporation tax rules or practices aimed at obtaining a tax advantage that undermines the object or purpose of the European Union. The purpose of the legislation applicable to corporation tax.
        • Consumer protection.
        • Environmental protection.
        • Product safety and compliance.
        • Transport safety.
        • Radiation protection and nuclear safety.
        • Food and feed safety, animal health and animal welfare.
        • Public Health
     2. Actions or omissions that may constitute a serious or very serious criminal or administrative offence. In any case, it is understood to include all serious or very serious criminal or administrative offences that involve economic damage to the Public Treasury and Social Security.
  2. Channel against sexual harassment: the following events can be reported, which occur in a work context, under the provisions of Organic Law 3/2007 for the Effective Equality of Women and Men, Organic Law 10/2022 on the comprehensive guarantee of sexual freedom, Workers’ Statute, Criminal Code and other reference regulations:
     1. Sexual harassment or gender-based conduct in the workplace

 

Principios del procedimiento

• Confidenciality: We understand that confidentiality is critical to encouraging individuals to submit communications to the ethical channel. We guarantee absolute confidentiality throughout the process and protect the identity of the reporting person to the extent permitted by law. The possibility of sending the information anonymously is included.
• Impartial investigation process: Once a communication is submitted, our team of expert channel managers will thoroughly investigate the matter objectively and diligently in accordance with internal regulations and applicable law. Throughout the process, the rights of those involved, in particular the presumption of innocence, will be respected.
• Protection against retaliation: We do not tolerate any form of retaliation against bona fide whistleblowers. We are committed to safeguarding the rights and integrity of those who dare to report any wrongdoing. We will take appropriate disciplinary action against any individual who retaliates against a whistleblower.
• Diligence: The channel managers will diligently process the information that has been communicated to them. In any case, the necessary decision will be adopted within a maximum period of three months, except in cases of special complexity that require an extension of the period, in which case, it may be extended to a maximum of three additional months.

 

How to send a communication

• Co-resol app:
  • Download the co-resol app. It is available on the App Store/Google Play and is free.
    
  • Accept notifications.
  • Press “One click” and enter the RTS code.
  • Select the appropriate channel.
  • Write your message or voice memo, add images or documents if necessary.
  • Choose between identification or anonymity and accept the Privacy Policy.
  • You will receive an on-screen acknowledgment.
  • Tracking is done through a secure chat, which you can access from the chat button on the home screen, until it closes.

  Similar process, with Identifier and PIN for tracking:
  • Press “One click” and enter the RTS code.
  • Select the appropriate channel.
  • Write your message or voice memo, add images or documents if necessary.
  • Choose between identification or anonymity and accept the Privacy Policy.
  • You will receive an  on-screen acknowledgment with a unique ID and PIN that you must keep separate for security.
  • To check the status of your report or provide more information, go to the website, click on “Access a previous click” and enter the RTS code, the Identifier and the PIN.

Important: Do not use this channel to report situations that pose an immediate threat, in such cases you should go to the local authorities.
